Edcouch-Elsa ISD Memorial Stadium
Currently underway the Benny Layton, Sr. Memorial Stadium for the Edcouch Elsa ISD, with a seating capacity of approximately 5,500, one can feel the EXCITEMENT during game day, especially when two rival teams play. This project consists of the removal and new replacement of track surface. In addition, the existing grass field is to be removed and replaced with a new Desso IDNA turf. The new face lift will incorporate a new engineered drainage system for the surrounding area of the field and vibrant lettering on each end zone.

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Substation
Prodigy Construction Management, L.L.C. has been actively evaluating the contracts currently in place between the owner and the architect. Prodigy will assist with the language to be included in the construction bid documents and will lead the negotiation of the contract between the county of Hidalgo and the responsive low bid general contractor.
Prodigy has been designated the number one ranked firm to provide Construction Management Services to the County of Hidalgo. Prodigy has been assigned the responsibility of managing the project team of architects, engineers, and other specialty consultants for the new Sheriff’s Substation to be located in Weslaco Texas. Prodigy has begun its collaboration with the project team design analysis as per the requirements of the Texas Commission of Jail Standards and evaluation of alternatives as required to complete the project within budget and on schedule.
In the project management role, Prodigy Construction Management, L.L.C. will manage the owner’s design consultants, prime contractor(s), specialty vendors, and provide the owner with a single, comprehensive status of all construction contracts related to the project. As part of our services, we provide support for owners in the areas of cost estimating, constructability reviews, scheduling, and claims consulting, if necessary.

Precinct 4 New Administration Building
The new PCT 4 Administration Building is designed with the intent to provide ample service to the community. The building has been designed to include the following amenities: a training room which will serve as an emergency command center as well as a backup generator system. Also an area for all field employees which will include locker rooms, showers, dispatch area and kitchen to accommodate all individuals involved in the day to day activities. Inclusive is the Commissioners’ area, which consists of meeting room, offices and lobby area. With the total 12,700 sq. ft. its current allowance is set at $1,650,000.00. Prodigy Construction Management provided services that include all phases from the procurement of the design team, to the evaluation and accountability of the design, to assisting in selection of the approved Offer.

Performing Arts Center
The Weslaco ISD Fine Arts Center was recently remodeled in 2010. This unique and one of a kind theater arts building was originally built in the 1950’s. The stout wooden lamella roof structure was used as the first ever Weslaco School District High School Auditorium. As the Project Construction Administrator for the district, the building underwent a 31,856 Sq. Ft. renovation at a cost of $7,022,925.00. Our responsibility was to preserve and maintain its original 1,200 seating auditorium. Our duties included the coordination of all local, state and federal codes. Review and evaluate all pay applications pertaining to both architect and general contractor and third party consultants. Coordination project management efforts included the supervision of the installation of all of the interior electronically main stage lighting, movie theater automatic roll-down screen TV, theatrical lighting and controls, mechanical chilled water system, electrical systems, audio system, and 12 motorized curtain control operators. At the owner’s request, we also assured the protection of the exterior facade of a beautiful courtyard that housed preserving a 100-year old oak tree.

Dr. Armando Cuellar New Middle School
This new middle school has approximately 80,000 sq. ft. of student classroom space, athletics, kitchen, cafeteria, and new library area. It accommodates grade levels between 6lh thru 8th grade students. Duties and responsibilities included 100% construction administration and management of architect/contractor selections, method of construction, acquisition, contract negotiations, project coordination, coordinate and approve construction documents, printing, project budget, scheduling, change order reviews, develop project program, surveys, municipal code compliance, daily project inspections, weekly reports, contractor/ sub-contractor meetings and close-out documents.

Weslaco Natatorium
The project consists of an 8 lane 25 yard competition pool and a 2,400 sq. ft. instructional pool. The competition pool ranges in depth from 4’-0” to 12’-0” and has 2-one meter diving boards at the deep end as well as a state of the art timing system and scoreboard. The instructional pool is 3’-6” deep and features full width steps at one end and a zero entry handicap accessible ramp entry at the other. In addition to the two pools the project also includes bleacher seating for 200 spectators, locker rooms, coaches’ office, lifeguard/first aid office, director’s office, fitness room, wet classroom and public toilets facilities. Internally, filtered natural light is allowed into the natatorium while care was taken to provide materials that will stand up to the rigors of the corrosive environment while still being aesthetically pleasing. The exterior design of the building is highlighted by the large skylight/window feature over the entry that floods the lobby with natural light and serves as a beacon to the community both during the day and when lit up at night.

Bobby Lackey Stadium – Press Box
The newly remodeled BOBBY LACKEY FOOTBAL STADIUM is the newest addition to the Weslaco ISD facilities family. Upfront and close tours of the stadium give you a feel for the enormity of the three story steel structure. With a seating capacity of approximately 13,300 and a press box floor space of 4,222 sq ft, one can feel the EXCITEMENT during game day, especially when two rival teams play. The home side seating serves 7,100 fans with approximately 1000 seats with purple VIP backrest seating accommodations. The visitor side bleacher seating serves approximately 6,300 fans. The floor plan on the top floor serves as the focal point of the stadium with a VIP meeting room for community guest, administration, handicap fans , ISD coaching and coaching scouts and security staff. The press box also has state of the art accommodations for the in-house KWES TV broadcasting capability for all avenues of media such as TV, Radio, and newspaper for live reporting. The control room also is the hub for the play-by play forecast and the control of the “JUMBOTRON” score board on the field. The lower level of the press box incorporates home and visitor independent ticket booth sales. The same floor level also accommodates local football fans of their favorite team store shops. Each high school has a TEAM store that serves Weslaco Panthers and Weslaco East Wildcats teams. The exterior façade has distinct arches spanning the over the first floor thus also serving as protection to the fans from the elements. From a regional standpoint the new stadium is one of accessible venues ever planned for high school football. in the RGV.

McAllen Miller International Airport Terminal Expansion

Child Nutrition Center
The new La Joya ISD Child Nutrition warehouse and support center was design with the intent to accommodate the district anticipated growth and a way of providing the necessary food services that would require keeping in line with state mandates.
The facility is constructed of Concrete wall panel with a roof system of a 20 year NDL, also the amenities for the facilities were as well provided in such as, the new walk in freezer , thaw cooler, bulk cooler with the size of 5,200 sq ft by 28 foot ceiling height and inclusive is the bulk storage/ paper storage area of 7,090 sq ft with a ceiling height of 30 ft. The test kitchen for all support staff was designed with the intent to train staff to be efficient and health conscience. With a total of 30,047 sq ft, the project cost is at $ 6,159,635.99. Prodigy Construction Management service includes all phases from the procurement of the design team to the evaluation of the design to assisting in selection of the approved Offer. Other duties inclusive to our services are procuring that all construction codes are met, to the review of all pay applications prior to approval for payment. Again this buildings intent is to capacitate the anticipated growth of the La Joya ISD School District.

Ben Bolt – Palito Blanco Independent School District

Detention Station – Harlingen, TX
The Facility is a 53, 075 sq. ft of office building and processing center that was built in Harlingen, Texas. As the project engineer and project management for the technical aspects of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering design, sensitive safety and security clearances were held paramount while constructing the project. Unique features of the project included the project management of the following integrated buildings as they related to the MEP:

MEP- document controls, submittal review and verifications, installation according to plans and specifications, change order reviews, as-built drawings, coordination of all meetings, HVAC test & balance reports and furnish technical weekly construction progress reports.

Nellie Schunior New Administration Offices
Nellie Schunior Renovation-Phase II includes the restoration of the first and second floor of the original 1927 building. The new and remodeling construction site will include new meeting rooms, offices, auditorium, lounge and restrooms. Prodigy CM will coordinate with the consultants that all local, state, and federal codes are in compliance. Additionally, we will manage and oversee the lucrative landscape which will include decorative water fountain, two new, ponds and brick paved sidewalks. Prodigy Construction Management will oversee an estimated 15,000Sq. Ft. of renovation and new construction with an estimated $5.8 million construction budget. Prodigy CM will verify and oversee the architect/ engineers/ and general contractor’s pay applications for payment reviews with the owner. PCM will conduct weekly job construction site meeting to evaluate the general and subcontractor performance on the site. Substantial and final of OM manuals to the owner will be coordinated with Prodigy CM final evaluation of close-out documents.
